Assistant Workshop Manager

Main Purpose of the Job Role:

 

•Follow all instructions given by the Service Manager and support them.

•Ensure customers receive highest level of service from Service Department

•Positively promote Cooks Midlands Limited

•Maximize profit on margin at every opportunity

 

Key Tasks:

 

• Compile stories on job cards for all warranty repairs.

• Where necessary complete full warranty process

• Answer phone calls & emails from service customers and reply offering guidance, advice, and solutions.

• Support the technicians both in the field and workshop with advice, information & updates.

• Control the workshop schedule allocating work, communicating with customers and manufacturers.

• Support the wider Aftersales department where necessary.

• Update IT systems to ensure accurate records are maintained.

• Ensure all manufacturers software is up to date on all devices.

• Conduct quality control checks.

• Liaise with manufacturers to resolves technical queries, gain advice or resolve disputes.

• Complete any required reports or requests on time.

• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental policies

 

Skills & Experience

 

• Good telephone manner and attention to detail

• Excellent written communication skills

• Ability to work unsupervised.

• Work well within a team with ability to use own initiative. Be flexible around working hours and days.

• Complete tasks to specified timescales & be organised with day- to-day activities.

• Good technical knowledge of plant and equipment (Desirable)
